Peter Pronovost is an intensive care specialist physician at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He introduced an intensive care checklist protocol that during an 18-month period saved 1500 lives and $100 million in the State of Michigan. He was featured in Atul Gawande's book The Checklist Manifesto. According to Gawande, Pronovost's "work has already saved more lives than that of any laboratory scientist in the past decade." He was named in Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People 2008. We deem him a true medical badass.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world." ~Margaret Mead
